Associate Attorney/ Real Estate Attorney

Associate Attorney/ Real Estate Attorney The candidate will provide real estate title related legal counsel to offices in the Cincinnati market. Will mentor under the guidance of one of Regional Counsels in the Cincinnati market, would hold their law license with Law Firm, and would work jointly for both the law firm and the title insurance agency. Will help in all facets of title company's work and would include; assisting with residential and commercial title examination, title insurance underwriting, reviewing contracts, title clearing, preparing closing packages, drafting real estate documents, conducting closings, as well as networking and meeting with existing and prospective clients. Assist Regional Counsel with various tasks on legal files. Learn how to perform title examinations and to do title clearing research. Work closely with the Regional Counsel to build relationships with existing and new clients to assist with the day-to-day legal needs of clients. Join and actively participate in trade groups, professional associations, and community volunteer organizations. Preparation or review of documents related to real estate transactions. Perform real estate closings as the notary closer. Network with real estate industry professionals and attempt to increase our market share. Obtain legal clients from the real estate industry and provide them with real property-related counsel. Obey underwriting standards when making decisions related to clearing title or proceeding to closing. Obey best practices in relation to the functions of the title agency. Provide assistance as needed to staff and their interactions with customers. Become authorized to teach our continuing education classes to real estate agents, and contribute as one of company's teachers/presenters. Should have J.D. degree from an accredited law school. Must be currently licensed as an attorney in the State of Ohio. Open to recently graduated candidates who have completed the Ohio Bar examination. Should have moderate amount of experience in real property transactions, probate administration, estate planning, and small company representation - knowledge of legal practices of local procedures. Must have ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
