Senior Corporate Counsel, Real Estate And Cloud Infrastructure

Senior Corporate Counsel, Real Estate and Cloud Infrastructure The candidate will be supporting complex transactions for the expansion of data center infrastructure, including real estate acquisition and development, data center leases, and related agreements and transactions. Will be drafting and negotiating high-value agreements for the global building infrastructure supply chain and agreements for services for the operation of our datacenters. Creating new contract models, templates, and process improvements to improve quality and reduce contract cycle time for data center infrastructure expansion. Providing creative and proactive counseling on a broad range of legal and policy issues, which may include: U.S. federal and international supply chain regulations; government contracting and compliance; real estate investment regulations; government incentives; land use; and dispute resolution. Collaborating with team members within and across organizational boundaries, including: clients; other Microsoft attorneys; and government affairs, community affairs, and PR professionals. Developing strong, trusted advisor relationships with business clients and executives. The candidate should have J.D. (or equivalent) and license to practice law in the U.S. Must have 7+ years as a practicing commercial attorney, ideally with a top law firm or in-house experience. Must have outstanding academic credentials, excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Background in real estate and other complex commercial transactions, ideally with experience in co-location agreements and leases, real estate purchase and development, supply chain contracts, international transactions, and dispute resolution is needed.
