Senior Attorney - Litigation DUTIES: Provide strategic counsel and advice and coordinate across the Company on matters related to litigation, dispute avoidance, and risk management. Support management of a full case load of disputes, claims and federal and state litigation matters, including complex commercial, contract, insurance, property, tort, and other business disputes. Manage the Company's response to individual lawsuits and claims and work collaboratively with both internal stakeholders and outside counsel to develop strategies for efficient matter resolution. Oversee outside counsel in managing all aspects of assigned litigation matters including initial case review, e-discovery, fact-finding and analysis, witness preparation, depositions, case management conferences, motion practice, and arbitration or trial preparation and presentation. Directly negotiate and resolve claims and pre-litigation disputes. Coordinate with Legal leadership team and other relevant stakeholders to identify broader litigation and dispute trends to mitigate potential risk to the Company. Effectively manage the legal hold process and ESI protocols. Prepare litigation-related agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, joint defense agreements, and releases and settlement agreements.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Ideally, 6+ years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house dealing with complex commercial litigation. Knowledge of federal and state litigation procedure. Ability to provide effective guidance as to interpretation, application, and effect of federal, state, and local law in multiple practice areas. Membership in good standing in a state bar association as an attorney qualified to practice law in that state, preferably Georgia.
