Compliance Attorney Duties: Manage the company s submission of required filings and responses to data calls from the various states. Enforce advertising compliance ensuring that all ads are approved, and related records are kept up to date. Compliance audit-related support, including counterparty audit support, and testing of key compliance and consumer-facing processes. Operationalize support for compliance risk management, documenting risk assessments, inventories, risk mitigation activities, e.g., compliance risk monitoring. Insurance policy form development including obtaining regulatory approval and internal operational administration. Support Chief Compliance Officer in developing and implementing solutions to emerging data privacy law for various business uses. Perform daily compliance surveillance, perform related research, and notify internal stakeholders, following established workflow. Work with state insurance departments to obtain and maintain producer licenses and make appointments for all Business Development team members. Work with agents to ensure all continuing education requirements are met. Qualifications: J.D. from an accredited law school. 3 years of professional practice in-house or law firm. Knowledge of key ethics and compliance policies, rules, regulations, and concepts. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn and work in multiple computer systems as needed. Knowledge of using computer systems, which may include setting up and using hardware and software programs, entering data or processing information. Skilled in time management, prioritizing and managing changing priorities. Skilled in policy and procedure reviews and development. Skilled in interviewing and developing facts and impressions. Skilled in establishing and communicating in difficult situations. Skilled in oral and written communications. Skilled in anticipating, identifying, analyzing, and resolving conflict and problems. Skilled in research and investigative techniques. Ability to think critically, analyze problems and data, and develop creative and practical solutions. Ability to exercise independent and sound judgment.
