Chief Compliance Officer and Counsel- CBRE Investment Management Responsibilities: Leading the strategy, management and administration of the Americas compliance program, including developing and implementing policies and procedures, monitoring the effectiveness of controls and performing compliance review functions, and overseeing the preparation and filing of regulatory filings. Assisting with legal matters for the Direct Real Estate, Credit and Listed Real Assets businesses in the Americas, including supervising outside counsel and overseeing the structuring of investment programs such as commingled funds and separate accounts (including negotiations with investors and clients), labor & employment, regulatory, litigation, corporate governance, fund-level compliance and risk management matters. Working directly with the senior management and leaders of the dedicated teams to provide advice on the implementation of strategic and tactical business plans and objectives. Responsibility for developing and implementing best practices and process improvements, and coordinating between business units and overseas operations, including in participation in projects concerning the implementation of new legislation and regulatory requirements. Management of litigation brought by and against the business and its funds and monitoring outside counsel retained for matters. Responsibility for legal planning, working with outside counsels and monitoring transactional execution at the investment level. Participation on operational risk committee. Responsibility for the compliance review on new products, marketing material, and investor documentation. Working and coordinating with regulators on audits.

Qualifications: Top academic credentials and major law firm training are required. Should have 4 years of legal experience. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and experience advising on the Advisers Act and related statutes. Knowledge of structuring applicable to the real estate investment management or private equity business and promotion of investment products is preferred.
