Litigation/Regulatory Enforcement Attorney - Vice President Responsibilities: Oversee active civil litigation and regulatory enforcement matters. Negotiate regulatory and civil litigation settlements and the scope of subpoenas and document requests; serve as a primary interface between outside counsel and the Business, oversee the collection of documents, and conduct interviews. Handle certain high-risk subpoenas or other types of third-party process that are issued in connection with civil litigation and/or regulatory enforcement actions. Perform other tasks attendant to the oversight of litigation and regulatory enforcement matters (such as entry and updating of matters in litigation management system, reporting to senior management, auditors, insurance carriers, etc). Report as needed to senior management within Legal and the relevant business line with respect to ongoing litigation and regulatory enforcement matters. Work on special projects within Legal, other infrastructure groups, and/or Deutsche Bank businesses. Retain and supervise outside counsel on civil litigation and regulatory enforcement matters, including negotiation of alternative fee arrangements. Review and evaluate outside counsel fees and assist with budgets and legal spend forecasting. Manage reputational risk attendant to active civil litigation and regulatory enforcement matters, including working with Deutsche Bank Press Office, Investor Relations, Compliance, Human Resource (HR), and other control functions. Where appropriate, work with businesses and\or transactional lawyers to review certain aspects of transactions or client relationships.

Qualifications: Juris Doctor required; Bar admission and in good standing. Extensive experience at a major law firm, corporate legal departments, and/or regulatory agencies, all involving oversight of civil litigation and regulatory enforcement matters (government investigations, criminal, or regulatory matters). Experience working for or with financial institutions is a plus. Excellent writing and presentation skills. Well-developed interpersonal skills.
