Global Privacy Compliance And Programs Counsel

Global Privacy Compliance and Programs Counsel Responsibilities: Drive development, management and implementation of the company's privacy program in collaboration with other internal stakeholders. Lead and coordinate with regional counsel to perform multi-jurisdictional assessments to support our global privacy and data protection compliance efforts. Lead efforts to develop and implement global standards, requirements and best practices in compliance with existing and new privacy laws and regulations. Advise on privacy program related efforts and other key privacy initiatives, including new technology implementation, documentation, internal policies, and data protection efforts. Serve as subject matter expertise and provide strategic counseling on global privacy and data protection laws and developments, including proposed and new privacy legislation and regulations.

Qualifications: J.D. degree from ABA-accredited law school (or foreign equivalent) with membership in good standing in a US state bar. Should have 10+ years of post qualifications experience, with 3 years in managing privacy legal matters. Experience should include leading data privacy efforts globally/regionally for a major multinational corporation (preferably in the technology space) on data privacy issues. Experience, and more importantly personal interest, in technology, social network, internet, and all things digital is ideal. Strong sense of problem-solving and proactive work ethic. Strong written and verbal communication. Fluency in written and spoken English, Mandarin a plus.
