Litigation Counsel

Litigation Counsel Duties: Advance interests in disputes of all shapes and sizes. Help define proactive litigation targets for. Learn how disputes arise and identify ways to pre-empt them. Supervise and collaborate with outside counsel on complex matters. Build systems for efficient e-discovery. Monitor new and changing laws and anticipate evolving liability and risk. Depending on overall workload and interest, may help with regulatory responses.

Qualifications: JD from an accredited law school. Admission to the California Bar or eligible to register as in-house counsel with the California Bar. Should have 4+ years working in litigation (especially if related to Internet regulation, e.g., privacy, consumer protection, CDA 230, DMCA). Experience with scaling processes and procedures for a fast-growing company. Demonstrated experience managing projects, prioritizing, and consistently achieving results. Experience with online content moderation is preferred. In-house experience at a consumer-facing technology platform is desired. Excellent writer and communicator who can tailor the message to the audience.
