Vp Assistant General Counsel, Government Relations Legal

VP Assistant General Counsel, Government Relations Legal Responsibilities: Work with Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs on legislative and regulatory matters impacting the retail bank, including collaborating with attorneys across the firm to assess the impact of proposed laws and regulations. Assist with the development of strategies to advance CCB legislative and regulatory priorities, and the tracking of progress on same. Assist with disseminating information to CCB Legal regarding regulatory and legislative developments. Conduct legal research on laws and regulations impacting CCB, as well as drafting memoranda and summaries of legal research as necessary. Provide support on special projects regarding regulatory and legislative developments and advocacy work related to the same.

Qualifications: J.D. or educational equivalent required. Attorney candidates must be in compliance with all relevant licensing requirements, including the requirements of the jurisdiction where the role will be located prior to commencement of employment. Should have 7 years of experience as a practicing attorney. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly motivated and results-oriented. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The ability to multitask and prioritize work intelligently in a fast-paced, complex business environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with consumer banking and/or financial services regulations. Regulatory, government, supervisory, compliance, or lobbying experience. Knowledge of state and/or federal legislative processes; federal regulatory rulemaking processes.
