Assistant Counsel - Legal, Regulatory and Compliance The candidate will be conducting and managing internal investigations, including developing an investigative plan; conducting interviews of witnesses and investigative subjects as well as reviewing and analyzing relevant data. Drafting and reviewing clear and concise investigative reports including other documentation for Firm leadership. Reviewing case reports as part of investigation including quality review processes and protocols. Coordinating with and providing advice to Firm leadership and management in connection with investigations, special projects and strategic initiatives. Assisting in the development of investigations policies and processes. Educating and providing guidance to Firm personnel on Firm policies and compliance-related issues. Should have a Juris Doctorate from an accredited college/university, and 6+ years of legal experience handling internal investigations, complex litigation matters, and/or compliance issues in a leading law firm, large corporate environment or the federal government. Extensive investigatory experience. Must have highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail, who is organized and able to work independently handling a variety of high-level and time-sensitive matters. Exceptional oral and written communication skills; ability to convey complex facts, circumstances and evidence in a manner that is easily understandable by a variety of audiences. Must have sound judgment and the ability to work collaboratively, with individuals in multiple groups at all levels of the Firm.
