Corporate Legal Counsel - Company Internal Duties: Provide legal, contract and administrative support to Chief Legal Affairs Officer, Contracts Administration Group Leader, and Contracts team members, including contract analysis, red-lining, determining or recommending best course of action, negotiating, monitoring multiple document revisions and circulating/tracking documents to all parties from initial drafting/review of contract through full agreement execution. Consider requests to modify contract language, while working with internal business partners to negotiate favorable terms (e.g., payment, schedule, arbitration, etc.). Obtain approvals for modifications as required and flag issues for escalation. Actively participate in, develop, recommend and/or lead, conversations and adoption of internal legal processes and procedures. Be a primary point of contact to Agents, Sales Managers, and/or Production Groups to answer routine questions regarding in-process agreements. Set project time frames based on meeting project objectives and manage and prioritize competing assignments. Evaluating, and weighing, risk and cost aspects inof contracts so commercial decisions can be made with regard thereto. Provide contract modification recommendations to protect WesTech's interests. Be a general internal company resource on all matters of legal advice not only in the contract administration process: including providing legal advice and written and oral opinions to Executives (VP, EVP, CLAO, President, CEO, Board of Directors as appropriate). Possess strong negotiation and mediation skills, and the ability to maintain a working rapport with internal and external customers, interfacing with customers, potential customers and business partners, in contract negotiation and administration.

Qualifications: JD Degree. Expertise in business, finance, risk management, or related field. Unencumbered license to practice law in the State of Utah. A thorough knowledge of contract law with 3 years prior significant experience in a contracts role or a related field. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills. Able to work productively independently and as part of a team. Analytical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities. Organizational and time management abilities; balances competing priorities and deadlines. Knowledge of corporate software systems (e.g., Microsoft Office tools, Adobe Acrobat Pro). Have a practical, solutions-oriented focus with excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to think and work independently and solve problems under limited direction while having the awareness when to seek additional authority or counsel. Ability to pay extreme attention to detail to spot inconsistencies and risk in contracts, and follow up, even during periods of high-pressure. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated knowledge of corporate software systems (e.g., SharePoint, Ariba, DocuSign). Balances competing priorities and deadlines and can be flexible and change directions when needed. Experience of working with and negotiating contracts with municipal authorities. Experience of tender and bid process documentation. Possess a wider commercial deal awareness. Respond to requests for copies of signed documents and requests in connection with internal audits. Fluent in both written and spoken English.
