Associate General Counsel, Privacy and Compliance Responsibilities: Ensure company compliance with all applicable laws and regulations by tracking and analyzing current and emerging domestic and global privacy, data security, and consumer legislation and recommending necessary changes to company practices. Advise on complex issues emerging from the development and marketing of products and technologies, including privacy, data security, and consumer protection (including required marketing disclosures), by researching regulatory requirements and analyzing potential legal risks. Ensure compliance with privacy laws by reviewing products terms of service, privacy policies, end user licensing agreements, and public-facing collateral, as well as drafting and negotiating contracts with customers, partners, and vendors. Contribute to creating, improving, and enforcing data security policies, standards, and practices that are compliant with global legal requirements, by collaborating with stakeholders throughout the organization. Advice on security incident response (preparedness, investigation, communication, remediation), breach notification requirements, bug bounty/vulnerability management programs, and third-party security assessments by partnering with Post's Information Security team. Conduct privacy due diligence reviews, privacy impact assessments, and integration plans for potential partnerships. Improve the company's privacy-by-design legal, business, and technical infrastructure requirements and controls by collaborating with Post's Information Security and Engineering teams. Assist the Legal team on other matters as needed. Maintain subject matter expertise by attending professional conferences and workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Qualifications: JD degree. Membership in a Bar (if permitted by law) is required. Should have 5 years of experience counseling clients on privacy and data security matters as an in-house or law firm attorney. Experience counseling and working closely with Information Security teams, including managing security incidents and incident response teams. Experience advising on domestic and global privacy and data security issues, including the GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, Section 5 of the FTC Act relating to privacy, anti-spam laws, cookies regulation, and the CCPA. Experience in contract drafting and negotiations. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with various types of stakeholders (business, lawyers, customers, and vendors) on complex, multifaceted issues. Knowledge of global privacy and data security laws, regulations, and industry guidelines, especially those relevant for media, eCommerce, ad tech, and Internet companies. Ability to handle sensitive information.
