Senior Corporate Counsel

Senior Corporate Counsel Responsibilities: Primary support to procurement and IT functions, including marketing-related contract matters. Support to human resources for all labor & employment matters. Work closely with marketing and communications teams to identify and analyze legal and commercial risks related to various marketing matters, including evaluating marketing materials for all company products. Draft, review, analyze and negotiate agreements, memoranda and other legal documents to which the company intends to become a party across a wide variety of categories. Establish, manage and maintain strong collaborative relationships with a variety of corporate clients in different areas of the company, including human resources, sales, manufacturing, and marketing. Develop a thorough understanding of and familiarity with the company's business in order to identify trends and formulate appropriate legal advice, structures and strategies. Retain, evaluate and effectively manage external legal counsel supporting corporate and transactional matters in order to maximize the quality of representation and remain within budget. Independently handle and keep track of multiple projects for the company. Qualifications: JD Degree with superior academic credentials from an ABA accredited law school. Admitted to practice in the state of Tennessee or admitted to practice in a state that offers reciprocity with the state of Tennessee. 8+ years of law firm or in-house experience with labor & employment, transactional and corporate legal experience. Intellectual Property experience is a plus. Strategic business partner with demonstrated ability to impact, influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to anticipate legal issues or risks and to see around the corner through understanding of and familiarity with the company's business. Highly professional, poised, excellent written and verbal communication skills and executive presence with law firm and in-house experience. Must possess strong judgment, confidence, and collaborative problem-solving skills. Apply online.
