Senior Corporate Counsel Responsibilities: Provide sound, practical and proactive legal advice to human resources and management on all aspects of employment law, including performance management, discrimination and harassment prevention and workplace investigations, diversity, equity & inclusion initiatives, COVID-19 protocols, leaves of absence and accommodations, wage and hour issues, contingent workers, compensation, pay equity, terminations and restructuring. Work with Human Resources to create and maintain appropriate policies, procedures and best practices for our global workforce. Prepare and conduct training for human resources and management. Remain current on legal decisions, statutory changes and other developments and provide advice and training. Draft employment, separation and other agreements and forms. Handle potential litigation, and administrative charges, and manage employment litigation matters. Help with complex and sensitive projects, as assigned. Conduct and manage internal and external investigations. Assist and/or act as primary contact with select commercial agreements and other matters. Assist with the Company's record management program. Take overall responsibility and accountability for the prevention of work-related injuries and ill health, as well as the provision of safe and healthy workplaces. Ensure that the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy and Quality Management System policies and related objectives are established and are compatible with the strategic direction of the organization

Qualifications: J.D. degree from an accredited law school and licensed, or eligible for license to practice, in the State of Illinois. Should have 10 years, and 15 years preferred, of relevant legal experience, ideally including experience in the pharmaceutical or related health care industry. Demonstrated knowledge of labor and employment law. Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
