Corporate Counsel

Corporate Counsel Responsibilities: Customer contracting, including government contracting. Strategic collaborations with partners, vendors, and consultants. Technology licensing and in-sourcing. Intellectual property protection, enforcement, and risk mitigation. Regulatory compliance and transactional support in areas such as privacy, accreditation, consumer protection and accessibility; Real property leasing; Labor and employment counseling; Marketing and product development support; Training across various compliance imperatives; and Dispute resolution and litigation, including coordinating with insurance advisors and outside counsel.

Qualifications: Excellent academic record both undergraduate and law school; experience at a national law firm preferred. Active Bar membership in good standing with no bar infractions and actively licensed to practice law in the US. Experience with technology and IP-related legal issues a must; experience with education, government contracting, and relevant data privacy requirements (including FERPA, HIPAA) is also valued. Adept at drafting and negotiating a variety of complex commercial agreements and arrangements with customers and partners. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster relationships and work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization and externally. Superior written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to explain complex legal issues clearly and accurately to a non-legal audience. Strong analytical ability together with reliably sound business judgment and a balanced approach to risk mitigation.
