Corporate Counsel Duties: Simple and complex contract review and drafting. Entity formation and corporate housekeeping, including supporting Finance/Tax Departments in effecting internal tax planning transactions. Acquisition-related due diligence review. Drafting and negotiating documents for business acquisitions and other complex transactions. Coordinating with local counsel on various matters related to Copart's foreign subsidiaries. A variety of other non-litigation matters.

Qualifications: J.D. from an accredited law school. Should have 2 years of experience in a sophisticated law firm or in-house legal department, but an advanced level of experience is required for the independent management of complex matters. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Results-oriented, with strong attention to detail and the ability to initiate and adapt to change. Strong command of general legal principles. Self-motivated with an ability to work independently.
