Sr. Labor & Employment Counsel

Senior Labor and Employment Counsel The candidate will provide legal advice, counsel, and representation for the Company on a variety of employment and labor law compliance issues. Conduct investigations into allegations of violation of policy, procedure or law. Represent the Company before regulatory agencies, conduct investigations into regulatory charges, prepare position statements and other responsive documents to be filed with the agency, prepare witnesses and participate in on-site investigations. Represent the Company at formal and informal mediation and arbitration. Conduct legal research and analyze legal issues with a focus on providing the business with legally compliant solutions that meet business needs. Draft and finalize documents, including policies, correspondence, procedures, agreements, contracts, benefit plans and communication materials. Develop and provide training to all levels of the organization. Develop and maintain expertise in the areas of practice and proactively identify issues of concern for the company. Supervise outside counsel in handling litigation matters. Provide advice, counsel and oversight regarding immigration issues. Other duties as assigned or required.

The candidate should have a Juris Doctorate from a top law school with strong academic credentials. Member in good standing of any U. S. State Bar. Should have 8-12 years of experience in legal practice. Experience in litigation/arbitration/mediation. Experience practicing at a large law firm preferred. Highest level of integrity and ethics. Interest in professionally developing into an expanded role. Demonstrated ability to work creatively, efficiently, and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Superior organization and project management skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, strong self-awareness, and flexibility. Professional demeanor exhibiting the ability to listen actively and to communicate effectively, persuasively and with confidence.
