Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employment (Contingent Workforce) The candidate will partner with and support the Contingent Workforce team to advise, educate, and influence on a wide range of Contingent Workforce issues. Will collaborate with cross-functional partners such as other attorneys, Contingent Workforce Business Partners, and key stakeholders in the business on all the legal problems impacting contingent worker issues and provide guidance and support to ensure consistency and compliance. Identify issues proactively based on discussions with clients and business partners. Provide legal advice, counsel, and support to key partners on alternative work arrangements and union/work council/organized labor issues as needed. Coordinate and drive to complete of large-scale projects (including claims and litigations). Draft position statements and agency responses. Monitor legislation, regulations, case law, and government enforcement activities relating to the above substantive legal areas, and provide proactive, strategic advice to the Global Employment Law Group and relevant stakeholders. Lead privileged internal audits, process reviews, and new policy creation and implementation related to the Contingent Workforce Program. Draft and contingent workforce program-related documents, policies, and processes. Facilitate process improvements, create efficiencies, and provide training as necessary. Travel as needed.

The candidate should have experience providing legal advice and counsel on contingent worker issues/matters. Must have a J.D. degree and active membership in at least one State Bar. Must have 6+ years of post-qualification legal experience in labor and employment law. In-house legal department experience is preferred. Experience with employment laws is a plus. Experience defending state and federal agency charges, claims, or employment litigation is desired.
