Corporate Counsel, Books The candidate will be providing day-to-day and strategic advice to business partners on new and existing products and programs. Identifying legal risks and proposing mitigation strategies. Overseeing regulatory and contractual compliance. Collaborating cross-functionally to resolve meaningful issues for the business, including across commercial, legal, intellectual property, operational, compliance, and security dimensions. Structuring, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts, including software, services, and content licensing agreements. Some travel, domestic and international, may be required. Should have a J.D. degree from an accredited law school and membership in one state bar. Must have 5+ years of attorney experience, with at least three of those years at a national or international law firm. Experience with product counseling and/or regulatory compliance. Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Efficient organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
