Director Corporate Counsel, Growth and Partnerships Duties: Review, provide analysis, draft, and negotiate a variety of supplier and supply chain agreements (with a focus on global distribution systems, third-party technology and service agreements, preferred supplier agreements, reseller and referral agreements). Liaise with supplier contacts and/or their legal and compliance counterparts on commercial negotiations or other inquiries (e.g data privacy etc). Partner with CWT's business teams in driving forward strategic legal initiatives (e.g streamlining, governance, and risk management frameworks). Assist with the creation, roll-out, and maintenance of template agreements and help to disseminate know-how relating to legal procedures and processes via CWT's electronic contracting platform), with business objectives of achieving profitability goals while maintaining adherence to global policies, and risk limits, and country laws. Assist with the preparation of training materials and delivery of training to the business teams on processes, templates, and hot topics. Assist in the research and advisory groups on legal and regulatory matters that impact the Partnerships Team and/or Growth organization (e.g regulatory updates in the hotel distribution business, personalization, etc). Maintain, contribute to, and update the legal team's online contract database, template library, and intranet resources for lawyers and internal business contacts. Participate in additional projects with the wider legal & compliance team, as required. Support strong cross-team relationships by displaying appropriate professionalism and efficiency in communications and dealing with internal clients and colleagues. Engage and collaborate with regional legal counsel (in particular where contracts are in the local language) providing oversight, interpretation, and support to align with global strategy, policies, and guidelines. Proactively meet and manage deadlines, communicating case progress/status/escalation issues to manager and business teams, as appropriate. Manage outside counsel, ensuring best value advice for the business within budgetary constraints.

Qualifications: University degree. Law degree. Authorized to practice law and in good standing. 5+ years of practicing either in a law firm with a focus on commercial and technology contracts or inhouse with a corporation. Travel industry experience is preferred. Experience in working in an international environment is preferred. Act with integrity. Growth mindset. Confident, clear, and open communicator. Able to work and communicate sensitively in a cross-functional and multicultural environment. Team player, willing to work flexibly and creatively with a positive, can-do attitude. Comfortable engaging with internal and external clients and other stakeholders on legal matters. Strong verbal, written communication, and listening skills. Strong negotiation and drafting capabilities. Accuracy and attention to detail. Discretion with confidential information. Self-starter who is able to work independently and autonomously, as well as part of a team.
