Assistant General Counsel, Wholesale Litigation - Asset & Wealth Management, Vice President Duties: Develop and implement litigation strategy on novel and complex legal issues related primarily to the Firm's Asset & Wealth Management businesses, work with the business to identify and mitigate litigation risks, and respond to non-routine third-party subpoenas for information and testimony. Work independently, collaboratively with other members of the Legal team, and, when appropriate, partner with outside counsel. Work related to the Firm's Corporate & Investment Bank and Corporate functions.

Qualifications: JD degree. In compliance with all relevant licensing requirements including the requirements of the jurisdiction where the role will be located prior to commencement of employment. 5+ years of litigation experience in complex commercial matters in state and federal courts, with significant experience in financial services industry disputes and with complex financial products and services. Significant experience with investment advisor/asset manager litigation, trust and estates litigation, and/or FINRA arbitrations is a plus. Experience with bankruptcy, securities, banking, and/or mergers and acquisitions litigation is preferred. Experience preparing witnesses for depositions and defending depositions is a plus. Major law firm experience is an asset. Ability to assume significant independent responsibility immediately with minimal oversight and to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex and time-intensive matters simultaneously. Ability to write well and communicate effectively, including to senior executives of the Firm. Ability to provide regular reports and updates on case status and a willingness to perform other administrative functions. Ability to build and maintain strong client and colleague relationships.
