VP, Compliance and Deputy General Counsel The candidate will advise business leaders on regulatory matters, including interacting as appropriate with regulators. Draft, review, negotiate, and manage complex contracts and agreements across various regions. Advise and consult with business leaders on employment and labor-related matters. Assist and advise on the merger and acquisition-related matters as appropriate. Manage required Company secretarial matters, including appropriate filings. Manage disputes, including litigation and other types of disputes to an economical conclusion. Select and manage external legal services, managing cost-effective outcomes. Review company communication materials as necessary. Advise business regarding real estate matters. Lead day-to-day efforts of the compliance function for global business, including implementation of systems and processes needed to run an effective program. Monitor ongoing regulatory changes and recommend changes to the compliance program as necessary. Review and revise policies as appropriate to ensure compliance with changing regulatory requirements in a variety of areas. Play a key leadership role in investigations of incidents reported to compliance hotline. Develop and conduct training for employees on key compliance topics on a global scale. Develop reporting abilities regarding compliance function.

The candidate should have a JD from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice in at least one jurisdiction. Should have 10+ years of experience practicing law, preferably with in-house experience in a senior-level role. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently with the demonstrated judgment of when to raise issues with leaders. Experience with managing day-to-day elements of a compliance program for complex businesses with a multinational footprint. Excellent analytical skills; outstanding written and oral communication skills. High integrity and willingness to communicate with key stakeholders even if difficult. Commitment to ongoing learning and development, particularly in regulatory and compliance areas. Proactive and dependable professional with the ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects. Ability to handle rapidly shifting priorities with flexibility, patience, and positivity.
