Corporate Counsel - Ethics and Compliance The candidate will provide compliance counseling to internal business units to build and foster a high-integrity culture. Drive compliance program implementation at the global business unit level. Collaborate with stakeholders at the Manager, Director, GM and VP level. Evaluate compliance risk for new business initiatives. Provide strategic partnership and active involvement in the management of meetings with stakeholders (Manager, Director, GM, VP level). Collaborate with other departments to deal with risks, compliance and control issues of medium complexity matters. Undertake corrective plans to resolve issues. Responsible for implementation and strategic drive. Develop, deliver, and oversee training related to the Company's Ethics & Compliance policies and the law, including through Compliance Clinics. Perform special assignments or projects, as needed.

The candidate should have a Law Degree from a recognized institution. Should have 8-10 years of professional experience; healthcare and international experience are strongly preferred. Knowledge of and experience with anti-corruption and anti-bribery regulation, as well as U.S. Fraud and Abuse laws, such as the Federal Anti-Kickback Statute. Experience with the U.S. Physician Payments Sunshine Act is a plus. Unquestioned integrity and ethics in business and personal conduct. Expert understanding of the global framework affecting the healthcare industry, such as international laws governing healthcare, interactions with healthcare professionals, institutions and government officials, and antitrust and competition issues. Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and influence employees at every level to embrace Baxter's Ethics and Compliance initiatives. Proactive in connecting with people to provide advice as well as adopting an open-communication style towards others. Strong legal skills and mature judgment. Demonstrated effectiveness operating in complex organizational environments and self-starter qualities that will translate well in a large matrixed organization. Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision in a team and matrix environment; sound judgment and strong attention to detail. Leadership abilities, with the desire, aptitude and sensitivity to involve multi-functional business leaders in Ethics & Compliance matters. Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively with others in addressing complex issues. Fluency in English is required; additional regional language capabilities are preferred.
