Commercial Contracts Counsel- Financial Technology The candidate will have responsibility for, among other things, developing, drafting and negotiating customer and partner agreements for a range of transactions, including data content, services, software, and technology. Provide licensing, technology and commercial legal advice and counsel to internal clients. The person in this role will serve as an essential business partner in shaping business strategy, product development, identifying business risks and defining company policies and procedures. Collaborate frequently with colleagues and internal clients in an exciting, high-energy work environment. Should have membership in the New York bar. Should have 3 years of experience with commercial licensing transactions, either at a top law firm or in-house in the financial or technology sector. Experience drafting and negotiating, and advising clients on, challenging and complex licensing transactions. Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain legal issues clearly to business and technology professionals. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and clients. Ability to work well under pressure and to provide concise and commercially-focused advice. Experience advising in the financial and/or technology sector. Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of other disciplines, often across regions and time zones. Interest in identifying and using technology to improve efficiency. Strong project management skills.
