Associate General Counsel - Labor and Employment Responsibilities: Advise and partner with senior leaders and the HR team members on labor and employment issues including employment claims, grievances filed in various forums, wage, and hour issues, leave issues under federal, state, and local laws in the U.S. or the equivalent outside the U.S., internal investigations, managing ERISA, acquisition, divestitures and restructuring-related employment issues. Draft, review, and negotiate various employment-related documents, and agreements, and review and update internal policies and procedures. Oversee and manage threatened and filed employment-related lawsuits and claims, against the Company in and outside the U.S. Provide advice to management and HR team on a broad range of employment issues, partnering on strategic and risk mitigating initiatives. Identify, assess legal risks, and provide strategic advice and guidance on labor and employment issues within the Company. Lead and direct the other in-house employment counsel within the team/ Manage relationships and expenses with external employment counsel globally to ensure the Company receives timely and cost-effective advice. Lead or partner with other internal teams on internal investigations. Work closely with the HR and Compliance Teams on various internal initiatives including internal training, streamlining, and harmonizing policies and procedures. Provide advice and counsel on employee compensation plans and programs and employee benefit issues, including health, welfare, and retirement plans. Advise and educate internal stakeholders on employment law and employment compliance related risks and exposures. Monitor and advise on changes to labor and employment laws and regulations, in and outside the U.S., providing strategic guidance on how any such changes may impact the Company. Establish a rapport and working relationship with employees at all levels to act as a trusted advisor and encourage the proactive use of in-house legal counsel. In partnership with Chief Legal Officer and other leaders within the group, participate in setting and achieving the departmental objectives and initiatives, developing talent, and managing resources.

Qualifications: Juris Doctrine required; licensed to practice in at least one jurisdiction in the U.S. Must have 10 years of substantive labor and employment law experience from law firm and in-house. Prior in-house legal experience working in a fast-paced global organization. Extensive experience in managing and resolving complex labor, employment issues and related compliance risks, including M&A, divesture and restructuring activity. Significant experience with handling threatened and filed employment lawsuits and claims (including charges filed at the Federal and state level) in the U.S. Significant experience of managing labor and employment issues in multiple jurisdiction is essential. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with employee benefits, compensation, employee equity plans. In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations and working knowledge of the global labor and employment laws and regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building relationships and effective partnerships across constituencies and with outside counsels, regulators, and other stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure, tight deadlines, and can-do attitude.
