Assistant General Counsel
The candidate will provide legal services to the derivatives and futures clearing businesses. Responsibilities include: advising the business in connection with obtaining and operating under clearing house memberships, regulatory standards for cleared products and swap execution facilities, and working with negotiators to draft and negotiate agreements for derivatives clearing and associated services. Will also participate in industry initiatives and work with Compliance staff.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree. Should also have J.D. degree with 3+ years of legal experience at a national law firm, financial services regulatory agency, or bank/Futures Commission Merchant. Should have knowledge of the Commodity Exchange Act and/or Title VII of Dodd-Frank as is basic familiarity with derivatives documentation. Knowledge of securities laws, bankruptcy law and ERISA laws is preferred.
