RMBS Dispute Resolution Specialist The candidate will join a Group whose focus is on on managing the risks and issues associated with Residential Mortgage Backed Securities as a result of the recent and continuing housing crisis. Will partner closely with Bank's legal and Corporate Trust default teams and with RMBS Risk team members engaged in processing property level litigation served on Bank. Report to the RMBS Property Dispute Resolution Manager and will manage and resolve issues involving property level obligor (borrower) litigation, including / obligor individual and class actions suits as deemed. Handle all incoming inquiries/claims relating to property-level litigation issues, including law-enforcement and certain regulatory agencies and respond to subpoenas. Coordinate with the RMBS Risk pre-litigation and Structured Finance Mortgage Research teams, to monitor items expected to develop into litigation. Responsibilities also include tracking the progress and disposition of property-level issues and working with a team of dispute resolution administrators (paralegals), while escalating the most serious issues. Duties related to the above include: training and supervision of qualified team members, monitoring of outside counsel, coordination with internal counsel as necessary, coordination of issues, collaborating closely with key stakeholders and other members of RMBS Risk, and working closely with RMBS Data and Reporting team to ensure necessary tracking and reporting related to issues worked.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in finance or business related field, or equivalent work experience in mortgage security litigation. A law degree (J.D.) from an accredited institution is preferred. Must have 3+ years of litigation work experience emphasizing background with real estate, land use, title issues, construction and/or mortgage lending. Should preferably have thorough knowledge of corporate trust operations, processes and related bank and legal/regulatory standards, specifically related to RMBS securities. Familiarity of RMBS contracts is desired. Prior experience supervising paralegal or litigation specialists is preferred.
