Planned Giving Officer The candidate will work with firm development team to identify, cultivate and steward target list of prospective planned giving donors. Will help to develop a fundraising plan in conjunction with staff and key volunteer leaders. Reach out to prospects and initiate a conversation regarding longer-term commitments as part of estate planning. Follow-up as appropriate to address questions and secure commitments. Cultivate relationships with select lawyers, financial planning professionals, bankers, and accountants in the community to encourage commitments from their clients. Work with the marketing staff to ensure that messaging regarding planned giving is included in the appropriate firm marketing initiatives. Stay informed of tax law changes or other factors that will affect the environment for planned giving. Work with partner agencies to help them establish planned giving programs. Provide strategic input and collaborate as part of the firm s overall fundraising team.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree. Advanced degree in law, accounting, or business preferred. Should have 5+ years of experience in a development/fundraising role. Thorough understanding of estate planning/ financial planning issues relating to charitable contributions needed. Significant involvement in the Jewish community, either professionally or as a lay leader/volunteer preferred.
