Lead Content Development Primary Law Duties: Will serve as backup to Manager. Communicate legal and editorial knowledge to internal and external customers as required. Lead and support primary law business and Content Development initiatives by defining, developing, and implementing new process or procedures as needed. Analyze workflow and identify and implement continuous improvements as requested. Maintain and further develop an advanced level of knowledge of customers and their business needs. Recognize policy issues and draft recommendations, revisions or clarifications as necessary. Address technical, system, or other difficulties in editorial process as arise in day-to-day operations. Queue management and workflow analysis and improvement. Tracking/trending team production and quality metrics. Webstar administration and resolution. Provide leadership and training to primary law editors within team and unit as necessary, answering questions as needed. Assisting on monthly QTP audit collaboration work. Quickly and accurately identify legal issues and determine the precedential impact to cases and statutes cited within primary law content. Completion of high profile cases and flexibility in queue coverage. Meet or exceed Lead, Content Development individual production and quality requirements, as agreed to between Lead and Manager. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Manager.

Basic Qualification Requirements: A Juris Doctorate degree. 3+ years of experience and demonstrated proficiency in editing primary law content. Strong analytical, legal research and writing skills. Advanced reading comprehension skills and ability to quickly identify legal issues. Knowledge of appellate practice and history, blue book title and citation rules. Demonstrated knowledge of company's products, databases and work-flows. Ability to perform complex legal analysis. Proven jurisdictional expertise. Firm understanding of all editorial processes and how they impact legal analysis and customers. Ability to work independently, while also participating cooperatively in a team environment. Ability to understand data, reports, charts, and track and create charts and other information for editorial, manager, and executive review. Strong PC and Microsoft Office skills. Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines. Flexibility necessary to adapt to changing business demands.
