Counsel, Litigation The candidate will be responsible for assisting Senior Counsel, Litigation and the General Counsel in the legal affairs of the company. Will work with the Company's outside counsel for certain litigation, providing case strategy, budgeting, discovery support and other typical case management activities. Responsibilities will include: Manage outside litigation counsel during the lifecycle of litigation matters, including providing strategic direction and partnering with leadership; Evaluate litigation practices and processes, and recommend changes where required; Analyze claims and formulate litigation strategy; Coordinate discovery and oversee the contents and execution of legal papers, including pleadings, declarations, discovery demands and responses; Assist with depositions and court proceedings, including witness preparation; Monitor and report litigation activities and expenses. The candidate should have Juris Doctorate from a nationally recognized law school. Must be admitted to a state Bar and eligible to practice under the Georgia In-House Counsel rules. Should be a highly successful attorney with 4-6 years experience working with complex commercial litigation. Should have experience handling a wide range of litigation from small litigation matters to multimillion dollar cases. Must have record of outstanding success at a law firm or corporate setting where innovation, collaboration and results are a high priority. Must demonstrate exceptional ability in communications, leadership and relationship building. Should have a demonstrated ability to independently see projects through from inception to completion.
