Attorney Responsibilities: Develops and maintains productive working relationships with client personnel and assesses clients' satisfaction. Maintains contact with the client throughout the engagement. Adapts the approach to the changing client environment. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of complex legal concepts and applies them to client situations. Monitors routine case files to formulate next course of action and ensure deadlines are maintained. Represents clients at trials, hearings, and other court appearances, as assigned. Interprets laws, rulings, and regulations and formulates legal opinions for review. Investigates facts and legal matters to determine causes of action and to assist with preparing lawsuits to be filed accordingly. Participates in the development of strategy, arguments and testimony in preparation for presentation of case. Drafts interrogatories, requests for admissions, requests for production of documents, and requests for examination and inspection. Drafts responses to discovery requests. Researches, analyzes, and interprets law such as statutes, ordinances, court decisions and legal opinions. Interviews clients and witnesses and handles other details in preparation for trial. Attends depositions and hearings and reviews transcripts. Reviews, drafts and/or dictates legal briefs, correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents. Communicates with clients, attorneys, courts, etc., to discuss legal options, update case status and request/provide additional information. Negotiates with opposing counsel to achieve final resolution of case, arrange legal settlements and resolve routine issues, as assigned. Files briefs, pleadings and claims. Assigns and reviews the work of department staff, as required. Performs computer data entry to update account files. Develops and maintains relationships with current and prospective clients. Represents and promotes the firm within the community and at public, social, and business gatherings. Prepares other reports and projects as requested. Participates heavily in the Firms practice development efforts through involvement with referral sources, community and industry activities. Maintains an educational program to continually develop skills. Maintains cooperative relationships with other engagement teams.

Qualifications: J.D. Degree, must be licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio. 5+ years of experience practicing law, demonstrating a proven progression in complexity, scope and number of engagements managed. Experience with corporate law, litigation matters, and real estate transactions.
