Senior Wetlands Scientist The candidates will report to the Company s office. Ideal candidates in other locations who are unable to relocate will be considered. Managing and conducting jurisdictional wetlands delineations. Managing biological surveys, to include surveys on these topics: invasive species, threatened and endangered species, and flora and fauna. Coordinating and consulting with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Consulting with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service pertaining to Endangered Species Act compliance. Conducting NEPA analysis and writing reports. Maintaining effective working relationships with customers and stakeholders. Creating and delivering marketing presentations. Managing field staff. Overseeing subcontractor duties on task orders. Performing contract administrative duties. Business development. Proposal writing. Supporting other environmental compliance and NEPA studies as required.

Qualifications: A Masterâ ?¬ ?¢s degree from an accredited college or university, or a Bachelorâ ?¬ ?¢s degree together with significant evidence of demonstrated job experience and training equivalent to a Masterâ ?¬ ?¢s Degree. A 3.4 grade point average (on a 4 point scale or equivalent) in the highest degree awarded. A Juris Doctor, PhD or other doctorate is a plus. 8+ years of relevant experience to include conducting jurisdictional wetlands delineations (with certification credentials), biological field surveys, invasive species investigations and management planning, preparing Integrated Natural Resource Management Plans, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance, and other natural resources planning projects. Experience preparing such studies for DOD bases and customers in the Mid-Atlantic region. Experience and knowledge of natural resources (preferably with U.S. Navy experience). An understanding Department of Defense installations, ranges and missions. Proper credentials for preparing and managing jurisdictional wetlands delineations in Maryland and Virginia. Intellectual curiosity, paired with excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite programs Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and abilities with Access a plus. Experience managing or directing production of GIS products is a strong plus. A demonstrable and strong commitment to a conservation ethic and a strong desire to identify and support strategies for natural resource conservation and a commitment to use green best management practices in the performance of their work. Demonstrated success in business development and the participation in and/or production of bids and proposals a strong plus.
