Landman II - VA Duties: Responsible for conducting all land work required to obtain and evaluate land data (records, titles, abstract, etc) on availability of land and/or leases for acquisition, development, and/or divestiture. Secures the examinations of titles, resolves defects, and settles damage claims. Analyze, interpret and negotiate various contracts including, but not limited to Oil and Gas Leases, Surface Use Agreements, Drillsite-Road Consent Forms, Road and Power Line Right of Way Agreements and Water Line Easements. Prepare instruments and associated Exhibits. Work closely with the surveyors and permitting department in obtaining well permits. Conduct site inspections to ensure requirements are met and there are no violations. Assist in the staking of wells, locating staging areas, meter sites and access roads. Work with consultants, surveyors, engineers, foresters, water testers, contractors, government agencies and municipalities to complete projects. Provide customer service to landowners who have questions or concerns about the current status of their lease agreement. Royalty payments, terms of use, timing, etc. Manage brokers working as field landmen through contracted companies. Manage the processes of assigned leasing, title, and abstract work to ensure documents are delivered to the Division in a timely manner. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Investigate and resolve landowner complaints. Regular and timely attendance. Deal professionally and respectfully with coworkers, management and others. Read, comprehend and follow applicable policies, procedures and directions. Work with others as part of a team to ensure efficient operations and enhanced productivity. Safeguard confidential information and disclose only to those in "need-to-know" positions. Safeguard and enhance Range's assets and business interests. Consistently perform all job duties at an acceptable level. Requirements: Bachelor's/Master/s in Land Management, Energy Management or Business Related, or High School diploma or equivalent. Masters / J.D. degree, or 2 + years of experience with Bachelors, or 4 + years of experience with High School diploma or equivalent.
