SVP, Federal Government Affairs Responsibilities: Lead federal government affairs and public policy activities, in close coordination with the Government Affairs team. Develop and manage a comprehensive government affairs strategy that supports and promotes business objectives and brand, and harmonizes with's government affairs strategy. Oversee engagement strategy with Congress, the Executive Branch, regulatory agencies, and key policymakers and influencers. Cultivate new and strengthen existing relationships with the company's key stakeholders, including elected officials, public-sector leadership, private-sector partners, and other opinion leaders. Identify and respond to emerging legislation and regulation affecting the company. Working closely with Government Affairs and Corporate Communications, ensure consistency of messaging in all regulatory, legislative, and policy advocacy. Work with Government Affairs and Corporate Communications teams to build public and opinion-leader support for the company's positions. Analyze trends in public policy and understand their actual or potential impact on the company's businesses. Guide and develop the company's engagement in the public policy process at the federal level, and with the broader community of policy influencers. Provide strategic advice to business leaders on public policy matters. Work closely with various trade associations and industry coalitions. Represent the company at public events, including participation on panels, events, and government hearings. Lead and develop a team of government affairs professionals. Plan and manage an annual budget. Liaise with law firms and consultants. Demonstrate superior oral and written communication skills. Utilize exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management, senior government officials, industry partners, and influencers.

Qualifications: Master's degree or equivalent required. Law degree preferred. 15+ years' experience in related public policy, regulatory, or legislative fields. Wide-ranging substantive expertise in policy affecting broadcasting, media, and entertainment sectors. Proven track record as a strong and effective leader and collaborator. Extensive experience leading and developing government affairs professionals.
