Renewable Energy Analyst, Expert The candidate will work collaboratively with multiple teams to shape company policy on renewables issues and in the formulation and execution of the company's strategy to procure renewable energy as part of PG&E's energy supply portfolio. Will be leading the development of reports and other written materials supporting PG&E's proposals, gathering and analyzing relevant Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) information and market data, analyzing renewables-related state and federal legislative and policy proposals and mandates, project-managing multiple initiatives, and coordinating with other organizations within the company on renewable and clean energy resource issues with minimum supervision. Supports the company's commitment to environmental leadership.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, business, engineering, or related fields. 5+ years of relevant experience in energy, environment, or related arena. Relevant advanced degree, including MS, MA, JD, MEM, MPA/MPP, MBA and similar. 4 years of work experience in the wholesale supply side, development side, or strategy/policy side of the energy industry. Intermediate spreadsheet application knowledge. Advanced oral and written communication skills and clearly articulates points and findings in both written and oral communications. Advanced knowledge of the various components of wholesale energy portfolios, development and engineering activities, power purchase agreements, or strategy/policy arenas. Advanced knowledge of electric system operations or resource planning. Advanced knowledge of utility departments, business units and functions. Knowledge of CAISO protocols/tariffs. Advanced knowledge of utility procurement processes including commercial, governance, and regulatory processes. Strong ability to present and communicate to internal and external stakeholders. Strong ability to manage internal and external meetings. Highly capable of working independently, not requiring hands-on supervision for all tasks. Strong ability to work in a high paced environment completing multiple tasks. Advanced knowledge of procurement solicitations, procurement contracts, resource development, or strategy/policy advocacy activities. Advanced ability to solve complex problems with little guidance and sometimes incomplete information. Advanced knowledge of physical and financial gas and electric market fundamentals. Works independently; receives limited guidance; work is reviewed upon completion.
