Collections Attorney The candidates primary purpose is to provide collection and legal support for the Legal Department. Engage in collection efforts on accounts assigned to the Legal Department, including reviewing and skip tracing accounts for collection, and communicating with consumers and legal counsel for consumers by both telephone and in writing. Review and conduct investigations of disputed collection accounts. Conduct post-judgment collection efforts by locating assets and executing on judgments. Assist with collection litigation matters as needed. Legal research as needed. Prepare legal and other correspondence.

The candidate should have a J.D. degree from an accredited law school and B.A. or B.S. from an accredited college or university. Candidate should be licensed and active member of the California State Bar, in good standing. Collection Litigation or other relevant legal experience preferred. Superior writing and verbal skills, detail oriented and organized, computer skills. Should have basic knowledge of and familiarity with relevant laws and regulations applicable to collections, the Company and Legal department functions.
