Legal Counsel, Media The candidate will provide legal advice supported by practical legal strategies to achieve the most efficient deal structures in connection launching Media House products and channels in the market place. Structuring, negotiating and documenting media asset production and distribution deals, including digital distribution, partnership and potential joint venture agreements, ad sales, sponsorship and monetization arrangements, e-sports events and licensing agreements and general production and marketing initiatives. Draft and negotiate various agreements related to the licensing of content on all applicable platforms including broadcast and cable television, online and web-based platforms, OTT, mobile, music delivery services, live events, Smart TV and IPTV. Address all regulatory concerns arising in connection with commercial licensing and monetization of content (e.g. privacy, FCC, closed-caption, V-Chip and other compliance matters). Draft and negotiate ad sales, sponsorships, joint venture and other monetization-related agreements. Draft and negotiate media and event agency agreements. Work closely with Red Bull North America legal department concerning marketing related initiatives involving sweepstakes, contests and prizes. Provide legal support for e-sports event platform and all game-related content production and licensing issues. Provide general legal support related to corporate, formation, rights management and contract management. Qualifications: 5+ years' experience handling new media, television and digital licensing and distribution agreements. In-house experience working directly within demanding business environments a must. Preferred entertainment law firm experience. Exceptional legal drafting and analytical skills for the production and licensing of media assets. Self starter with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a high volume, fast-paced media/technology environment. Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision, meet demanding deadlines without sacrificing quality of work product. Team player willing to work other attorneys and staff at all levels. Excellent problem solving skills and pragmatic legal judgment. Ability to prioritize dynamic workload and effectively meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
