Senior Financial Consultant Duties: Provides issue specific, focused and comprehensive goals-based financial consulting and planning services to high-income and high-net worth individuals and families, including professionals, corporate executives, business owners and others with highly complex financial circumstances. Contributes to thought leadership in financial planning and mentoring of other group members. Engages with the professional advisor community to advance Northern s brand and reputation. Works directly with clients to develop an advisory relationship and gather information related to client s financial circumstances and goals. Analyzes overall personal financial condition including complex retirement plans, estate plans, investments, taxes, insurance, cash flow, cash management, and budgets. Determines client financial objectives, risk tolerance, and capital requirements. Counsels and advises clients on general financial forecasts and trends. Develops a sophisticated goals-based issue specific, focused and/or comprehensive financial plan to bring client s financial situation in line with their objectives and consults with client and other advisors (specialists) on a course of action. Facilitates implementation of sophisticated financial plans based on the direction given by the client. Interacts with client's other advisors and other Northern service partners in the delivery of coordinated financial and wealth planning services. Reviews account relationships and communicates with relationship managers to identify opportunities for cross-selling bank products and services. Actively assists in the sales process and the identification of opportunities to expand client relationships. Handles billing for client service hours and maintains individual productivity and contribution records. Contributes to the development and monitoring of best practices in the delivery of financial planning services. Prepares and delivers presentations relating to the ongoing maintenance of client relationships. Develops marketing materials and plans and delivers marketing presentations. Serves as a mentor to financial consultants and financial consultant analysts. Contributes to Northern financial planning thought leadership, including marketing resources. Actively engage in the cultivation of professional advisor relationships, including attendance at and participation in professional conferences and professional advisor networks.

Qualifications: CFP designation required. Advanced educational and professional designations and evidence of advanced learning and professional qualification including MBA, CPA, J.D. Degree, CFA, and/or CIMA desired. Experience years in one or more of the stated fields with some consulting experience. Effective communicator and collaborative professional. Knowledge of sophisticated income tax planning, retirement planning, estate planning, investment and asset allocation planning, risk management planning and cash flow planning usually acquired through extensive related work experience.
