Head of Compliance Delivery & Execution Team Director Duties: Partner with the Global Head of GCS&S and other members of the GCS&S Compliance Management Team to build out the function. Establishing and maintaining effective governance over the GCS&S Department including effective interface with HR, Finance and COO. Will be of a seniority where will be able to represent the Global Head of GCS&S in senior forums. Will work with the GCS&S Compliance Management Team and help the Global Head of GCS&S keep the management team aligned and functioning cohesively. Responsible for leading and managing a motivated and proactive Delivery and Execution Team ('D&E') for the GCS&S Compliance Department. Leading and developing the GCS&S D&E team. Tracking the implementation of the GCS&S Compliance department s Strategic Plan. Creating, evolving and maintaining a robust and effective process around production and dissemination of Management Information in relation to the GCS&S. Tracking the commitments (e.g., Audit and Regulatory) of the GCS&S department. Maintaining the Relationship Management Framework with Business Compliance for GCS&S. Undertaking strategic projects for GCS&S.

Qualifications: 4-year undergraduate degree. A graduate degree (M.B.A. or J.D.) or international equivalent preferred. 5+ years experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. 5+ years of experience with regulatory rules including those of the FSA, SEC, CFTC, NFA, FINRA, and Federal Reserve/OCC experience. 7+ years of broker-dealer, legal, compliance or regulatory experience. Should have extensive financial services expertise, strategic acumen, and outstanding analytical skills as well as substantial experience performing a COO, CoS or business management role at a senior level. Should have the ability to motivate and partner with a high-calibre group and be able to navigate an organization and the industry itself through a period of significant economic and organizational change. As this is a global entity, exposure to relevant regulations outside of the US will be beneficial. Proactive, energetic and results-focused individual. Strong interpersonal and communication skills that will enable him/her to interact and negotiate effectively at all levels of the firm. Excellent people management skills, be an effective communicator and possess strength of character. A pragmatic approach to problem-solving and a flexible consultative working style and possess the ability to drive change in a cross-cultural environment. Good business judgment and a willingness to exercise it. A professional demeanour and possess considerable presence, impact and gravitas and will be respected within the organisation. Able to work constructively across Barclays and incorporate the needs of diverse stakeholders.
