Asset Management - Private Bank - Trust Officer Duties: Responsible for the development and retention of client relationships and for managing the daily administration of trust accounts in accordance with the firm s responsibilities as a fiduciary. Communicate actively with your clients to understand their needs, ensure they understand the terms of their trusts, provide superior service and expand their relationships. Interpret the governing instructions and applicable law to appropriately administer a book of approximately 250 trust accounts. Communicate regularly with clients to understand their trust needs and provide superior client service. Manage complex trust book with attention to regulatory guidelines and firm policies. Oversee risk management issues, including: discretionary actions; on-going tax planning; communication with co-trustees, beneficiaries, and professional advisors; coordination of investment dialogue. Work with clients and clients' attorneys and other professional advisors to for optimal management of client issues. Coordinate with tax team and Portfolio Management Group to appropriately manage relationships. Lead basic investment dialogue with clients, co-trustees and beneficiaries. Responsible for deepening and strengthening client relationships with JPMorgan. Mentor Trust Assistants. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience . Advanced degree such as JD or industry related certification such as CFTA preferred. 5 - 7 years experience in the trust and estates industry. Comprehensive knowledge of trust law, gifting techniques, income, transfer, and generation skipping taxation, with ability to apply that knowledge to client specific planning exercises and account administration. Strong client service skills and ability to resolve problems. Knowledge of internal procedures involving discretionary distributions, account maintenance, account opening/closing, ARU and management of overdrafts - is a plus. Ability to partner with client's other advisors (attorney, accountant); highly respected by external professional advisor community. Demonstrated understanding of wealth management including, investing, credit, deposits and financial planning . Ability to work in a team based environment.
