Director Business Management Duties: Work with the GM of Ventures to build and reshape the mission of the overall team (both Accelerators and Venture & Start-up engagement), and to drive operational excellence in business process and planning, managing communications, planning resources, and supporting team infrastructure and health. Given the span of visibility and access to information this position enjoys, you will also participate as a key leadership team member who can offer a synthesized business perspective to influence key strategic decisions around: Tailoring and scaling the company offerings to meet the unique needs of emerging companies Engaging effectively with the venture investment capital to reflect their interests, and driving strategic partnerships with high-potential startups that create big value for firm. Establish the rhythm of the business (ROB) for the team. Define, plan and drive cross-team process improvements to run the business efficiently. Partner with Finance and DX s senior Business Manager to ensure effective budget management and forecasting, ensuring integration across DX, and coordination with corporate planning processes. Work with cross-company and cross-team counterparts to manage team participation as needed for internal business reviews, next fiscal year planning, MYR, and other strategic business planning activities. Work with the Business Managers across DX and other part, sharing information, best practices, and representing the company s Ventures to escalate key issues as needed. Drive high-impact, cross-team projects as needed to meet the changing business environment and ensure the team is achieving commitments. Partner with HR to help recruit, motivate and retain the best talent, and make Ventures an excellent place to work and develop. Partner with HR to create a robust people agenda and execution plan across all geos, and lead team health and development initiatives. Continuously improve the cohesion and interop across teams in Silicon Valley, Redmond, Israel, China, India, and possible additional future sites TBD, as well as the effective partnering between those teams and other parts of Redmond-based DX. Drive approach to Ventures deliverables to, and engagements with, external partners: As chief matchmaker , proactively network across various engagement motions and channels to identify potential new offerings for, and strategic partnerships with, emerging companies. Provide thought leadership to consolidate and reconcile disparate offerings and assets to deliver highest value in a way most consumable by the emerging company audience. Drive an effective team collaboration model to develop and launch new Ventures offerings. Help define value proposition and differentiation for the offerings and influence key feature decisions. Coordinate conducting research, gathering market requirements, evaluating new go-to-market scenarios, collecting and digesting external partner feedback, creating offer messaging and launch materials. Coordinate with relevant marketing teams and helping to land the right messaging in press briefings and public events. Represent Ventures with business partners in LCA, Treasury, Corp Dev, Tax, Marketing to ensure offerings and engagements are delivered and managed with acceptable risk and adequate due diligence. Develop team communication, memos and presentations, for team meetings and other internal communications at major corporate milestones such as MYR, PRISM/WWSMM, and next FY planning. Plan and manage team meetings. Assist GM in developing the voice of the company s Ventures, planning for partner engagements, internal and external speaking engagements, and key events. Team with DX Business Management team to ensure consistent messaging. Coordinate across team to drive consistent messaging externally about Ventures mission and offerings. Coordinate across team to drive consistent messaging internally, with appropriate content, context and clarity needed to execute against critical success indicators, driving alignment between Corp and Field critical success priorities.

Qualifications: BS/BA degree in Business/Finance/Engineering/Marketing/Legal or equivalent, MBA/JD Degree preferred. 10+ years equivalent experience is highly preferred. Experience leading and implementing multiple, simultaneous, cross-team projects in a complex organizational environment. Experience managing project scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, communications, procurement, human resources, and integration management. Experience improving and streamlining processes. Experience managing complex relationships with, and negotiating transactions with, strategic external partners. People management experience. Fluent in MS Office, SharePoint, and capable of quickly learning other relevant internal tools. Proven track record in project management and operational excellence.
