Prepare, review and revise contracts involving leases, licenses, purchases, sales, real estate, employment, service vendors and other matters. Keep informed of legislation and new regulations affecting Company operations. Study proposed and existing legislation and regulatory guidance. Advise Legal Counsel or business units as appropriate. Act as liaison with outside counsel.

The candidate should have a Law degree. Should be licensed to practice law in applicable states/jurisdictions. Must have 5+ years of related work experience in a law firm or legal department of a finance or indirect automobile lending organization, preferably both. Experience advising clients with multi-state or nationwide business preferred. Should have strong technical knowledge and ability to apply consumer compliance regulatory requirements, such as the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Credit Billing Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act and Regulation B, Truth in Lending Act and Regulation Z, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and Regulation P, Federal Trade Commission Act, Federal Privacy Act of 1974, Electronic Communications Privacy Act. Knowledge and experience with BSA/AML compliance preferred.

Intellectual Property Lawyer
The candidate will be responsible for writing, filing, and prosecuting patent applications in the USPTO. Will lead and mentor a work group of early career Patent Engineering Professionals and an IP Legal Assistant in the preparation, filing, and prosecution of US patent applications, and work on developing the best process for doing such patent procurement work in a high volume mode. Review invention disclosures and patentability search results, draft patent applications, and the eventual prosecution of patent applications filed in the USPTO. Mentor others on the patent application drafting and prosecution process, and will communicate with others in company to optimize the patent application drafting and prosecution process to achieve the quality and cost objectives of the Patent Center.

The candidate should have a J.D. degree with admission to at least one State Bar and USPTO registration. Should preferably have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a computer oriented technology such as computer science, engineering, or electrical engineering. Must have 2+ years of experience in drafting and prosecuting original US utility patent applications with demonstrated excellent writing abilities. Should preferably have 5+ years of experience in drafting and prosecuting original US utility patent applications with 1+ year of experience in a supervisory, team lead, or mentoring role. Must be familiar with patent laws, patent application preparation rules and practice before the USPTO, as well as best practices for preparing US patent applications for counterpart filing outside of US.
