Utah - Tax Manager - Human Capital - Global Mobility

The candidate will utilize cutting-edge technology and work with team-oriented colleagues. Will establish/maintain long-term collaborative relationships with clients and internal colleagues. Coordinate and deliver accurate, quality US tax returns for assignees and coordinate worldwide foreign tax filings, as appropriate. Coordinate the delivery of various Global Mobility and other Tax services offered by the firm in a proactive manner that meets/exceeds client expectations. Review international assignment-related calculations such as tax cost projections, tax equalization calculations and hypothetical tax calculations. Conduct/review research on various topics such as technical or treaty interpretation/application, regulatory issues, and payroll matters. Prepare/review the related communications for the client. Develop the client's understanding of US and foreign tax, compensation and payroll issues and explain implications of recent law changes. Develop, supervise and manage the client team's technical skills, client service skills, and engagement management skills. Perform engagement management activities including billing, scheduling, performance evaluations, mentoring, managing client expectations, and identifying additional client needs/company opportunities. Assist Partners and Senior Managers by drafting responses, participating in the proposal process, and identifying new business opportunities.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related work experience OR a Graduate degree and 4 years of related work experience. A degree in a related field is essential. A CPA, EA, or J.D. or other related experience or certification relevant to an area of specialization is essential. Must have 3+ years of tax experience. Should have proficient knowledge of tax laws with specialized knowledge in at least one technical area. Proficient knowledge of automated tax processing systems is essential. Should possess and continually increase understanding of complex expatriate tax issues.

Direct and coordinate designated Company financial activities according to financial principles and government regulations. Ensure regional finance function operates in accordance with Group policies and procedures. Facilitate global communications networks to maximize information sharing, quality and consistency. Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for spending initiatives. Plan, develop, and implement policies, and establish objectives of all the organization's Finance, Legal and Risk functions in accordance with the organization's objectives. Build strategic relationships with external stakeholders and organizations to improve outcomes for the Region and to assist in the robust development and implementation of company's and the Region's strategies and operations.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. MBA and/or J.D. degree preferred. CA or CPA also preferred. Must have 10-15 years of executive management experience in finance/legal/risk or related field and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. Should have executive level experience in business processes, leadership, management, client service, budgeting, people management, communications, commercial processes, insurance and consultation. Experience in developing financial knowledge to improve business systems is required. International business experience is required.
