New General Counsel at Bennett Jones Bennett Jones, a Canadian company, has hired their first general counsel, Steve Sibold. Previously, Sibold was senior vice president and general counsel at Canadian Airlines. Nokia Gets New GC Nokia, a prominent electronics manufacturer, has named Louise Pentland their new chief legal officer. Pentland has been the acting chief legal officer since September 2007, when former chief legal officer Carl Belding passed away. GlaxoSmithKline Hires New General Counsel Daniel Troy has been hired as the new general counsel at GlaxoSmithKline, one of the biggest pharmaceutical manufacturers. Troy was previously a partner at Sidley Austin in Washington and before that a former chief counsel for the Food and Drug Administration. |
