ABN Amro Loses Its GC after Takeover ABN Amro has lost many of its senior lawyers after its takeover by the Bank of Scotland, including chief counsel Eva Simon Thomas and corporate chief counsel Penelope Simmons. UBS Names New GC UBS, a large banking firm, has named Markus Diethelm as its new general counsel. Diethelm was formerly at Swiss Re, and is replacing Peter Kurer at UBS in the third quarter of 2008. London Development Agency Splits Up The London Development Agency has split its legal team into four divisions from one group. The new divisions are public and corporate law, governance, property planning, and commercial matters. |
