Counsel IV The candidate provides legal advice on matters for management of the Corporation and its principal subsidiaries to assist them in planning and policy setting, generally group or division Reviews, analyzes and provides guidance and advice on laws, regulations and ordinances of impact to consumer loan servicing operations and prepares/approves policies and procedures, standardized forms and communications to be used in support thereof. Within respective area of responsibility or specialization, evaluates the impact of all major changes in the law and asses the impact on the company's policies and operating procedures. May have incidental responsibility for providing guidance to less experienced counsel or paralegals.

The candidate must have 2+ years of experience as a practicing attorney. J.D. degree and State Bar membership is required. Should have some experience in counseling business clients on legal, regulatory and reputational risks arising from consumer mortgage banking operations. Experience as a practicing attorney in a secured consumer mortgage loan servicing function is preferred. REO, property preservation, code compliance, eviction, vacant property registration, real estate closings, title insurance, and regulatory compliance experience, especially with State Attorneys General, the OCC, Federal Reserve and or the CFPB is a plus. Should be willing to travel as needed. Application Deadline: September 9, 2013.
