Virginia - In-house Counsel

A leading provider of real estate transaction services seeks In-house Counsel having 4-6 years of legal experience, preferably in banking or alternatively have experience in commercial law, contract negotiations, mortgage banking, and compliance work. The candidate will gain knowledge of loan servicing regulations and related laws both on the state and federal level. Will maintain and annually update state licensing and registration requirements. Assist with drafting language in sub-servicing agreements relative to new and renewal clients. Review and oversee new service contracts and maintenance database. Assist with other legal matters in the ordinary course of business to include default, RESPA, and FCPA. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in business administration, or related field. Should also have a J.D. degree and be a licensed attorney. Ability to interpret GNMA, FNMA and FHLMC seller servicer guide regulations and laws and disseminate the information is essential.
