Intellectual Property Counsel

Milford MA Intellectual Property Counsel The candidate will provide responsibilities include: Manages IP matters arising from Waters Liquid Chromatography and Scientific Operations functions. Advises the business on IP legal matters relating to the company, franchise or product teams, and business objectives. Attorney, Commercial Contracts The candidate will be responsible for drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, with a particular emphasis on revenue-generating contracts with our customers, under the guidance and direction of senior members of the Legal & Risk Management department. In addition to the drafting and negotiation of customer-facing commercial contracts, also draft, negotiate and close a variety of vendor contracts and will provide legal support to the Companys operations and marketing departments. Facilitating the resolution of business and legal issues and formulating recommendations using analysis, creativity and the development of new approaches to enable contract execution while safeguarding the Company and creating a positive customer experience all in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

The candidate must have contract management expertise, excellent leadership, communication and customer service skills, substantive experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts while maintaining strong, vibrant internal and external client relationships. Healthcare and/or technology licensing/information technology services experience is preferred. Experience with Master Service Agreements is desirable. J.D., LL.B or foreign equivalent is needed. 1 3 years mid to large law firm experience working on complex commercial transactions and/or 2 3 years in-house experience negotiating commercial contracts for a global corporation (preference for healthcare or technology) is required.
