Senior Contracts Counsel

Omaha NE Senior Contracts Counsel The candidate will be responsible for supporting the companys technology acquisition, marketing, risk and procurement organizations. The position will involve drafting and negotiating complex agreements ranging from professional services, software licenses, software as a service, development, support and supplier agreements, providing quick, concise and commercially focused legal advice in connection with such arrangements. In addition, the attorney will be help create and implement processes and procedures to more efficiently handle high-volume contract needs. This attorney must have a high value for client service and have experience in collaborating with disparate groups to achieve solutions. Ideally this attorney will be well-versed in technology and licensing, with a critical eye towards risk and regulatory issues. Experience in privacy issues (esp. GDPR) is a plus. Because the job will involve a large amount of drafting, editing and writing, exceptional writing skills are an absolute necessity. The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter with strong interpersonal and organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively and proactively provide sound legal advice, exercise good business judgment, work with senior management and implement policies and processes on a cross-functional basis in a fast-paced environment. Should have JD degree or equivalent degree, with state bar membership. Must have 5+ years experience practicing either in-house or at a law firm. Must possess active credential : EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws.
