Counsel - Global Litigation and Competition

Foster City CA Counsel - Global Litigation and Competition The candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting a diverse range of litigation and pre-litigation matters, as well as providing day-to-day legal advice to a variety of business units within the company. Will be developing case strategy in partnership with business units and driving the resolution of litigation disputes. Managing outside counsel. Reviewing and approving pleadings and motions, and attending court hearings and depositions. Coordinating discovery, including collection and production of materials. Providing legal advice to business functions on a wide variety of pre-litigation issues arising from business-as-usual activities. Keeping firm management and business units apprised of litigation developments and strategy.

The candidate should have a JD degree from ABA accredited law school and admit to the relevant State Bar. Must preferably have 4-6 years of full-time employment experience in a top-tier law firm or in-house environment. Should be a current member in good standing of a State Bar with the ability to become Barred or a registered in-house counsel in the state. Experience in all phases of litigation; experience with complex litigation, class actions, antitrust/competition law, IP litigation, and e-discovery preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and writing skills are essential.
